Tucked away from the CBD’s bustle, Fern Bar & Dining is a hidden haven, a place where the city slows down, the mood lifts, and dining feels unmistakably Melbourne.
True to Melbourne, we’re located off the main streets. Head down Little Collins Street, tuck into Melbourne Walk, find the discreet blue and brushed copper foyer “Hotel Indigo”, and take the lift to level two.
As you arrive, you’re lifted into a space that feels calm and considered, yet alive with a gentle buzz. Cathedral windows soar above the courtyard, a spiral staircase anchors the bar, and a hand-painted mural by renowned artist Lisa King rises between them, a striking welcome to Fern.

FERN’S BAR
Fern’s Bar is the lively centrepiece of the venue, anchored by a striking four-storey spiral staircase and bathed in the shifting light from soaring cathedral windows. By day, it’s bright and inviting; by night, it hums with energy and character.
Pause for a chilled Yarra Valley Rosé, a neighbourhood Little Lon gin and tonic, or a curated cocktail, paired with charcuterie or bar snacks. With the full lunch and dinner menus also available, Fern’s Bar is a place to drop in, linger, and let the evening unfold.

THE DINING ROOM
The Dining Room is where Fern invites you to slow down. Wrapped in indigo hues and touches of gold, it offers a calm, design-led setting that shifts seamlessly from bright breakfasts to evenings of relaxed dining.
It’s a place designed for conversation, for feeling looked after, and for meals that become memories. Every detail, from the considered design to the thoughtful service — is crafted to make the Dining Room a setting you’ll want to return to, time and again.
